And so Paul answers this letter concerning these various problems, but also makes it the occasion for dealing with a number of other even more serious conditions which prevailed in the church. This, then, is the setting and the occasion for this first epistle to the church at Corinth. This letter to Corinth, therefore, is unique among the letters of Paul. It is unlike any of the other
